Official information to be distributed to you from Badminton Europe:

For selecting the players/pairs the BEC European U17 Ranking from 24/07/2023 has been used.

All the withdrawal requests are to be done via your association using the online entry system? The entry lists will then be updated online accordingly.

 

From the Organizers (Badminton Denmark and Hvidovre Badminton Club)

As you can see there are entries from Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Czech republic, Slovakia, England, France, USA, Norway and Sweden

As announced on tournament will be played over 4 days with Friday to end early. We have seen a smaller than anticipated number of signups, but we keep the provisional schedule given in the invitation in order to give players Friday of in case they have tickets to the BWF World Championship

The provisional schedule is therefore:

-          Thursday 24/08: MS/WS - R64 and R32 (10.00-18.00) - 6 courts

-          Friday 25/08: XD - R32 and R16, MD and WD R32 only (10.00-15.00) - 5 courts

-          Saturday 26/08: XD - QF, MS/WS - R16 and QF, MD/WD - R16 and QF (10.00-20.00) - 5 and 4 courts

-          Sunday 27/08: All SF and Finals (10.00-16.00) - 3 courts

The team managers meeting will take place at 9h00 on Thursday 24/08 in the venue's cafeteria.

We will honour the 30 min break rule between matches

 

At the place of venue we have 7 courts in one hall and will use up to 6 of them during the tournament (1 court is for warm up, no net).

Our restaurant is open during the tournament – We will distribute the menu in a separate mail. International credit cards can be used for payment during the tournament (Visa and Mastercard)

Please remember to book and clarify transportation needs before August 14th via Jan Ek from Hvidovre Badminton Club (janmedico@gmail.com), Jan will be the person in charge of coordinating transportation within the BEC U17 regulation requirements.

For international players that would like to book time for some practise, we have 3 courts available from 6.30pm to 9pm Wednesday at the venue – please send court and time request to Kasper at kasper.hbc@vedela.net – and he will try to manage a timeslot for all
